" still supporting this, but... I think the problem is to get the valid data for _every_ char in a league. From what it seems, every statistic is only based on the first 2000 chars - so maybe it first needs a solution to get the full list out in some form. maybe they can use like an AVL binary search tree to store the ladder/class, then maybe some actor model be used for our little guys we play with, and the different trees.
so when some little guy writes "/myclass" it sends a message to the respective "myclass-tree-actor" which will update the tree on the fly, and as such, only when the command is written, the updates occur. However, this might not work out great in "/myladder"-case because maybe some little guys are spamming it and thus will cause a lot of updating in the tree. i have no idea how slow or fast this is, or if there are some critical section problems due to real-time and ping. I like the finer grained level rewards! Can even get a prize for finishing at L10.

" I'm not sure how the database they use works exactly other than each character individually sends a stat update every 3 minutes. It shouldn't be too hard to say organize by descending experience, and only show templar classes or something. |

damn... All that practice to die to suicide bombers for going too fast. I wouldve owned merveil with all the cold resis I had.. I think I wouldve had a good lead on the next witches.. :( I blame how hard it is to see some of the monsters in certain positions. I think they fixing that in next patch though..

Died to a group of Vaal Shadow fragments (Blues) at the very start of level 1, they all attacked at the same time while I was on full hp.

I died due to somethin weird happening, was rushing towards shipyard with that burnin rare dog chasin my heels. When I clicked on the entrance to shipyard I was at full health (190 hp), I got into loading screen, dced, and when I logged back on I was in default:( got quite aggravated I tell ya. I'll have to wait til next week to retry the race, still had a good time. Just thought you should look into it, maybe more people had similar problems.

Died around one hour into the race to suicide bombers right before merveil because I wasn't cautious.
Drops on the first character were abysmal anyway. Then rerolled a marauder because I couldnt find one in the top 10 and managed to get level 23 in the remaining two hours, thus getting second place marauder :-). Also got the cave firstclear with my marauder 2 hours into the race lol. Overall the race didn't seem competitive at all with only one character being level 29 and the rest way lower.
