How do I access more than 7 spells/auras

You may want to run different auras in different situations. Needing to re-map your skill keys each time is just silly.

Another way to do it would be to allow you to somehow activate the aura without it being bound, like clicking on the gem while holding a key down or something like that.

You only need to remap one button.... You click the button "Q" select a aura from the list of skills that pops open then hit "Q" to activate the aura, you then do the same thing w/ "Q" for how ever many auras you want to activate then after the last one you change "Q" to whatever you want to actually use on that button.
I have a EB toon that runs 6 auras and artic armor and it takes literally 3 seconds to turn them all on or all off.

I agree with ya. It is silly.
There is no reason I can think of that is valid, to limit the amount of concurrent availble
skills OTHER THAN TO HAVE THE LIMIT IN PLACE SO AS TO COMPLY WITH GAME PAD USERS RESTRICTIONS.

As was done with Diablo 3, and notice they are coming out with the game boy version of that game, just as I said they would (and others with a clue) well before D3 was released.

On a PC there is no grand reason to limit such in a game AS this is. In other games, I
can see so due to mechanics and DESIGN.

In Diablo 2 as you , I am sure are well aware of, there was no such foolish limitation.
Just about any skill one learned could be accessed at the keyboard, what was it 12 or so?
I forget at the moment. I do recall using far more than six at any given time depending
on the class, it was fun.

No, I see no sane reason for the limit in this game, but it is what it is and I doubt
the devs see a reason to change.

In the meantime, you have to swap skills and cast those auras, buffs, etc, then swap in
something more useful in a dynamic sense such as say, skellies or zombies or specters or whatever.

Yes, it is fucking stupid.
UNLESS THERE is a legit design reason, as I listed at top, game boy possible version later.

maybe I play a different version of D2 I am pretty sure you have to similarly go through a bunch of keybinds to use that many skills in D2 and you limited on skill bar slots. I think you bind them to F keys and the F key bings a skill you your skill bar allowing you to then push a button to activate it. Haven't played in a while though, maybe I'm crazy.

D2 is D2. PoE is PoE.
I'd say there was "foolish limitation" in D2 rather than PoE

12 bind-able skills in D2, but (technically) 1 skill-slot for all of them. ONE
In PoE you have 8 active slots for skills.
See the difference? No?

Simple example: (D2)
You had to press (let's say) F3 to switch to particular skill, and only after it you may "cast" it.
If you want to cast another skill - you need to press (let's say) F4, and then cast\use skill.
In PoE you can spam 8 (EIGHT) skills at any time.

So which game really has limitation? :D

Exactly. Some people also used mousewheel to "scroll" through skills o__O
And i (sometimes) can't remember where is skill X, F7 or F9 :D
So, PoE has better skill usability. That's all.
Remember, suffering is convenient.
That is why many people prefer it.
Happiness requires effort.
I think we can summarise here that this thread is needless QQ about a non-issue.
