How effective is arctic armor?

No defense in the game will replace 15 life nodes for you. AA is not even armor replacement, its a complement. It helps against fast,low burst physical and fire damage.
Also, mana regen nodes in the tree are absolutely awful. I would advise highly against the switch, and I love AA. But it won't ever replace 15 life nodes |

Really? Alright. It's just that I've seen some low life builds (low as in lacking nodes) being viable due to replacement of life with higher defense. Thanks for the advice.
