Why do claws have +physical damage nodes?

Doesn't seem fantastic when claws tend to have very low base damage, need INT to equip and DEX for accuracy.

Wouldn't +weapon elemental damage, or +damage with claws be better?

Same thing applies to life leech as opposed to life on hit. LoH makes much more sense.

Completely depends on build and claws you are going to use.

Depends on build,skills,HP amount,weapon used.

My point is the main claw passives not synergising with the stats required to use them. It is really hard to pick up a lot of strength on claw builds.
I think all around there are just few tree nodes that are complex.Btw streght is not a requirement for using claws.But still can't got your point.Build a mara/duelist claw and you will have more than enough str.Build a claw shadow and get all str nodes available,there are enough of them to wear equipment.Besides that +str is provided by gear.Same for int,which is btw the real problem for duelist/mara. If you want str that badly there are some mass str items like

Increases to physical damage are good due to the higher level claw's implicit mod, being life leech.

There are claw passives that include critical hit chance - obviously good for claws, as they can have a pretty decent value for crit. So much for the Int part.
Other passives include attack speed and accuracy, the Dex part.
I don't see the problem.
