Ctrl click to drop items

This is an old thread but the suggestion is still perfectly relevant, so necroing this is better than creating a new thread.

Being such a simple addition, this would be a notable quality of life improvement for general loot management. We also now have animate weapon and animate guardian where quick dropping items would make using these skills much smoother.

No its not good to necro suggestions because GGG discusses them all the time. It just wastes front page space for new suggestions. Only because GGG didnt comment on it doesnt mean they didnt/wont discuss it.

Since the game has changed a lot, there is no harm in revisiting this idea even if it was discussed back then. It obviously wasn't implemented back then, but now there are additional reasons why it would be a good addition.
I intended to start a thread voicing the exact same desire.

I'm not sure if that is a good idea, mainly due to mistakes, where you drop a weapon which wasn't intended.[...]

If one is in an area where the item would be destroyed - you'll already be prompted, which requires a confirmation. The author of the statement seemed to rather think of an area "in the wild". While this might be a valid concern, IMHO a mishap which involves holding a key while clicking isn't that probable.

I would really like to see this implemented. This might take some pressure off for people which agree with the stated idea
