Concentrated Effect damage calculation question

Option A seems to be correct.
Starting Point: 100 Base Physical 38 Added Fire Multiply by the additive 'Increase' mods step skipped: 100 Base Physical 38 Added Fire Multiply by the multiplicative 'More' mods: 100 * 1.68 = 168 Physical 38 * 1.68 * 1.79 = 114 Fire 99% of suggested changes would make the game easier. Thats why only 1% of suggested ideas are even worth considering. Last edited by arual#2184 on Jul 19, 2013, 11:23:50 AM

Ok, after reading the damage conversion page on the wiki carefully, Option A seems to be the answer. Though I still have my doubts on that Conc. Effect since it just says Damage and doesn't specify. But I guess it doesn't matter much.

" It really matters a large amount for converted damage. If you are dealing 100 base physical which is all converted to fire, say, then the correct way is to convert it to fire and then apply conc effect to get (say) 100 * 1.68 = 168 fire damage. If it worked your way, then you would change the physical to 168 first, then convert to fire, then apply conc effect again for some reason to get: 168 * 1.68 = 282.24 You can see why it would be way to OP with converted damage if it worked this way.
Spoiler
Note it is possible to get 100% fire conversion with an AoE. eg: use unarmed + 50% blackgleam with infernal blow + melee splash. In general, though, that isn't likely to happen; it's much easier to get 100% elemental conversion by mixing different elements.
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:
