Does intelligence effect elemental damage?

Does intelligence effect elemental damage? For example; does Intelligence increase the damage from Elemental Hit? Just wondering because I'm thinking about getting a lot of intelligence for my Templar if it does. Thanks in advance!

" No, it does not increase elemental damage. To find out exactly what each stat does, press C to bring up your character sheet, and then mouse over your stats (STR, DEX & INT) in the upper right. Off the top of my head I think INT increases energy shield and maximum mana. |

" I understand that I can view the character screen to see some of the things that the stats do, however, isn't it true that that page doesn't mention everything that a particular stat does? I'm asking this because when I hover over Intelligence with my mouse, it doesn't say that it gives additional crit chance, which I'm under the impression that it does, correct? |

" Meaning Int based weapons (ie daggers) have higher inherent crit chance. Also, Increased Critical Chance support gem is a blue Int gem. |
