Noob friendly Ranger build

Hey guys, I'm new to Path of Exile and the Passive tree is really overwhelming for me. I decided a ranger looked like a cool class to play, but I really don't know which skill gems to be taking or what kind of build is more forgiving for a new, unskilled player like myself.
