Remove hardcore muling to softcore.

I don't know if this is an intended feature or not.

Players can mule over wanted items from hardcore to softcore merely by filling a character up with loot, killing them, and stashing it in their softcore banks.

To me this makes it seem like softcore has no value to it with this in place. It's bringing in loot from another league, and feeding it into another league's economy, without a sink.

You can't even do this both ways, which makes even less sense. I don't understand the reasoning behind this. Maybe someone more intelligent than I could explain the purpose of this system or why it was even designed this way?

If you could move it both ways then you would simply farm some harder areas in default and use the great items in hardcore.

I agree it is not perfect if you can bring items from one league to another one with different rules but hc->sc is less harmfull than the other way around.

Yes you can mule, but what would be the point of farming Hardcore for items to use in Softcore? If you're going to do that you might as well play Softcore.

And yes, this is the intentional result of the decision that dead Hardcore characters get moved to Softcore. It does not affect the Hardcore economy in any way, because their items are removed from the system, and items cannot be imported into the system.
I fail to see why anyone would do this. Hardcore and default have exactly the same loot so there is no real benefit to bringing stuff over from one to another.

Besides any real hardcore player wouldn't just start playing default and therefore this "muling" would be just like throwing their hard-earned items away.
This is the same issue as the ability to farm ID scrolls by creating new characters. Yeah its possible but why would you do it.
The point of a HC economy is scarcity of high-level items. Moving stuff to softcore on a mule doesn't damage HC. It doesn't damage default either. The same stuff drops in both leagues at the same rate and default league will have so much loot a few inventories full of stuff from HC won't matter in the least.

It's a useful mechanism if you have a HC character you got attached to that died and you want to move everything to default.

I honestly see nothing wrong with it. I consider hardcore more of a 'challenge' ladder which you play until you die. By default I roll hardcore and play it with the expectation that if I die, it just means I move down the ladder to a lower tier.

It gives you some reward for your play time of hardcore rather then sticking to softcore where all the babies are (Sorry! I couldn't help it XD).

In all seriousness, while it is a little cheesy for the mules to be used, its nothing I'm against. If anything I'd say to make it easier to do this by giving you the option to have a withdraw only option to move hardcore items into softcore directly form the stash.

Pls remove the ability to drop to Default.

It make no sense in having it.

In General,
Hardcore League is targeted at hardcore players.
Default League is targeted at casual players and beginners.

Events:-
Hardcore League - you can have HC events here.
Default League - you are restricted to have events here due to the double events one HC player can have.

This is a loop hole.

There are better ways to encourge new hardcore players.

Perm. Retired from this unforgiving land of the Exiles.
Self-impost EXILED.
I don't see any problem with bringing HXC items over to softcare characters. They are much more valuable on hardcore servers for obvious reasons.

The OP made both this post and the linked post in two different boards, pretty much discussing the same thing.

Since the other one has more responses, I'm closing this one.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
