As we can see often now that unique items can give only buffs just make new wand with : 100% LS dmg 80% spell dmg 15% cast 100%global crit and crit dmg... This will be next mandatory item for every ls spellcaster and expensive as fuck ~~ 30 exalts, problem solved. Spork totem build is fine, it's just every other type of lightning caster isn't that great. Give lightning a nuke, add some unique or two that supports a lightning caster without totems, or both. It's multipurpose, useable with lightning melee and lightning spells. If you're dealing a lot of shocks then you'll deal more damage while taking more damage, which will of course be best used as ranged. Meanwhile melee would need to take accuracy to make use of the crit effects, something that's a lot easier to stack and make use of with spells. And it's 1-handed, unlike, you know, searing touch and taryn's. What would you like to see as a Lightning Caster unique? I would consider Moonsorrow + Rathpith Globe (perf rolls) to be better then any of the unique staffs available for cold or fire spell damage. The only exception maybe being that burn damage could be underpowered w/o searing touch (not sure).. but shock is good with or without moonsorrow. If crit is your style heartbreaker or divinarius are also excellent for their own purposes.
