Game is too Critical Strike/Damage while applying status ailments Heavy. Solution Inside

The problem is much deeper than crit chance/damage. The problem is (and always has been) that elemental damage is better than physical damage in almost every way worth bothering with. The best builds have always been heavily elemental damage based. I dont ever remember seeing a properly effective physical build... perhaps some people are cool with that, but it seems odd to me.

D2s strength was that elemental was just another damage type, yeah it generally did more damage but it was unreliable due to mob immunities, so a heavily fire based toon would meet areas of the game they found really hard.

In POE that doesn't happen, you can stack +% elemental damage and have a skill or weapon of each type with ease, meaning no drawbacks at all and massive damage. Not to mention most ele skills are AOEs and most physical are single target. Honestly I think it badly needs looking at, why would anyone bother with pure physical atm? It just isnt very good.
I want to add that any input I made in this thread was for a patch that is long gone.

Right now, I think the status of crits are fine. The Diamond flask has been removed, monster health is much higher than before.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
