Quest Item Stuck in Inventory

I have the thaumetic emblem stuck in my inventory from Merciless quest "the way forward". I'd like this removed if possible. I've turned in the quest already and cannot turn it in again. Thanks!

Is there no way for you to just throw the item on the ground or destroy it in town?

You could try picking up the item on your cursor and using the /destroy command.
