Make movement speed on boots implicit

If this were to happen, I would bet heavily that base run speed would be reduced to compensate.

Taking the really good mods and making them guaranteed just waters down the whole idea of trying to get the really good mods.

QFT. This is totally unneeded.

I guess I could see it for boots at level 60+. By then other players will have +20% to run speed, so some will still be faster than other. It just so happens that a few of them will be so fast it's silly.

I agree with whiteboy on this, too many problems caused by implicit movespeed. TOO easy to cap out at 30%. But find some rare boots with 30% movespeed on them, and good stats to match the aligned class? WOW, you just found yourself a goldmine.

Now, maybe you're just undergeared, but at some point in the grind you will spend more time running than killing things. Running 30% faster means you spend 22% less time traveling.

Which single mod can improve your killspeed by 50%? Because that's what it'd take to beat out a 30% movespeed mod.

That's the whole point. This mod is TOO necessary. I have found boots that are far better overall than what I am currently wearing, but the +25% movement speed is too much to give up. It completely changes the feel of the game.

You NEED movement speed on boots or they're useless basically. No other item affix is as necessary as movement speed is on boots, I'm sure many would agree.
Great Idea, this way you would solve the problem of early game slow pace combat.
Why not make the implicit in a smaller range from like 1% to 15% and keep the bonus movement speed stat (but nerfed to 5%-15%)?
This would still make bonus movement speed stats valuable but decrease the amount of its usefullness. This way good boots wont depend on the bonus movement rolls that much anymore and you cant simply blessed orb every boots to the perfect movement speed.

Actually I agree that the amount of movementspeed on boots is to important right now.

I just found some +15% MS-Shoes with about lvl15. No I thought about switching to better Shoes with around lvl45... but the new ones have no ms and it feals totally awful... still the stats on the new boots are totally superior, but they just give no movespeed.

It is quite easy. Reduce the Rare Stat to up to 15% and give the boots up to 15% Bonus. This way even if you don't have Movespeed as a rare stat you could use the boots if the other stats are good, but still getting 30% movespeed is something you want to have, but it does not devalue everything completly that does not have 30% movespeed.
