How to redeem race rewards?

Nooby question I suppose, but how do I redeem race reward points? And once I use them are they gone? Or do they accumulate towards the next reward? Also, are they league specific, as in default, HC, Onslaught or anarchy?

When you reach to a reward level, reward is added to your hardcore stash under a remove-only tab. All points accumulate towards the next reward.

So it's only in hardcore that I can redeem these rewards? and if so because HC characters that die go to default there's no way of getting the rewards on anarchy? :(

but that's just silly... u work hard in the race to get rewards and u cant use them. really who plays in hardcore? if someone wants to go hardcore they start a character in nemesis or the season version of hardcore.
