List of Untrustworthy Players & Scammers

Is there any place to report players who have scammed other players? I have been doing rush services and most people are great, but I've got a strong urge to do at least something about the several scammers I've met.

Hi there

If you would like to report scammers, please send their player/account names and evidence (client.txt or a screenshot) to "support@grindinggear.com" and we will investigate further.

Cheers

Only thing you can do that would be within the scope of the rules is to add them to your ignore list and/or just not group or trade with them. (oh, and report them privately, as suggested above, lol)

Naming and shaming is against policy and will only serve to get your post moderated. I leave it to you to decide if you believe that's a worthwhile policy.

Unfortunately with the current name and shame policy, that it's not allowed, there is no official GGG resource for this. However, there may be some communities that exist that do this. And in fact, you're welcome to make one yourself. :)

And as always you can always report the scammers as Luca responded above. But there is no list.

You can email support about it, but you're not allowed to post stuff like that on the forums. Otherwise, I could just as easily tell everyone about how you stole my 4 exalted orbs, pants, and first-born kiwi...
Thanks for the comments guys.

Generally, a whitelist is much more useful than a blacklist in this case. There should be some sort of trading guild where members are held to high standards of trade, but associations or player reputation reviews aren't integrated into the game yet, and if you limit yourself to a smaller circles of friends, you will miss a lot of trade opportunity.

So basically, don't get scammed, protect yourself as much as you can. Educate yourself on how people are getting scammed and learn to avoid it.

Thanks. I understood that rush services are a risky business, I guess I'll just start asking for half upfront or something like that.

Serious question - is it against TOS to scam someone in the sense that you don't pay up for a rushing service? It's a dick move, yes, but is it something that can result in disciplinary action?
I'm not condoning it, just curious of the red line.

I miss the old days when coming up with creative cons were half the fun.
