POE on a work PC
Just got a new job that allows me to play some POE on lunch, or when there is downtime. The problem is the PC has no video card, everything is integrated. I am have been looking for a cheap card that would run POE, however I am not really sure what I should be looking for.
This is the current card I have been looking at : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121422 would this do me well? Please any help would be awesome. |

It's not the GPU that will be the issue. It will be hard drive, cpu and ram speeds as well.
You would be better off buying a laptop or something. In other words, that $44 gpu wont help. Last edited by Nituvious#1402 on Jun 27, 2013, 12:54:00 PM

You can always go into the PoE Configs and reduce the games graphics and effects to an extremely low, near Minecraft-tier, and you should be fine on an Integrated Card.. :)
Graphix don't matter that much, especially when on a work computer. It's all about efficiency. And by efficiency, I mean not doing actual "work", while at work. :P EA IGN: We_Have_Monk_at_Home

I don't know to much of the specs of the PC other than, it has 4gb of ddr 3 memory, and a 500 gb 7200rpm hardrive, there are people in the building who play Diablo 3 on their work PCs but they have their own video cards.

" Those are better or equal specs to my main PC! The main thing will be getting a DDR3 video card. I use integrated AMD HD6250G without a problem; was having problems in other games before I got it (previously a nvidia 9600m card which used ddr2) |

Check the pricing history. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=GeForce+GTS+450
~65 bucks for these when they go on sale. You might find a better deal later this year, but this would be the worst performance GPU which I would play on, so use the benchmark points as a simplistic guide. |
