New Info About Crash
So, I was trying different things and finally managed to get an error screen from windows.
Description A problem with your video hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly. Problem signature Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 14346 Extra information about the problem BCCode: 117 BCP1: FFFFFA8008BCF250 BCP2: FFFFF8800F3B44D4 BCP3: 0000000000000000 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1 Now, this only happens with this game, I understand this is a compatibility issue right? I have win 7 with all updated, GPU gt430 up to date, core 2 duo 2.6, and 8Gbs DDR3.. Have been trying to find what to do with help of google but I can't understand most of the "solutions" people give. Thanks in advance and sorry about my english. |

That sounds like pack corruption? Try running the Pack Check at the top of the Support and Bug Reports forum, and see if that helps!

Nice to hear from you Rory.
I did run the pack check but it didn't said anything, I think it went ok, should it say "packcheck complete" or something? If not, my client is fine. |

Hmm, do you have a Creative sound card? That may be responsible! Try adding --nosound to the end of the Target of your Path of Exile shortcut, and see if that lets you get past!

I don't, I wish that were the problem lol! easy to solve.
Still I tried -nosound in the shortcut but the game opens still with sound. Haven't tried the game today, hope it goes better, yesterday night I was showing it to a friend and it crashed at the shore encampment :(. |

It sounds like a possible memory problem to me, you have 8gbs of ram try removing some? I have had memory go bad and waste so much time testing it with memtest along with everything else in the system. When all i had to do was replace some sticks of ram.
