Helmannn's Ci Physical Claw Cyclone [Onslaught League]

Twitch.tv/helmannn IGN: HelmanSpinToWin

The background behind the CI physical claw cyclone build is have Vaal pact and ghost reaver paired together with both the implicit leech of a claw, the 12% life leech from the tree, and the 6% life leech from blood rage in order to maintain your energy shield through all sorts of enemies. This includes hard hitting mobs, physical reflect packs, and even lightning thorns. We choose duelist because we need the keystones Master of the Arena, Unwavering Stance, and Iron Reflexes for our build and duelist is on of the easiest ways to accomplish this with wasting the fewest points. The other viable options are witch (same points) and shadow (5 extra points wasted.

Necessary Keystones
*Master of the Arena-Amazing with cyclone, the +2 increases your range a lot and pairs excellent with quality cyclone gem for an even bigger area
*Unwavering Stance-Since we are CI and there is no more Eye of Chayula to be immune to stun, this is absolutely necessary in order to not be stunned 100% of the time. While you cannot be stunned while cycloning, you can get stunned the second you finish and this is unavoidable as CI.
*Iron Reflexes-Since we are CI and use mostely ES gear, this allows us to run graces and have an innate 4,000+ armor without any gear.
*Vaal Pact & Ghost Reaver-As CI, pots do not work to recover your ES. Ghost reaver allows life leech to work to recover your ES and Vaal pact makes this recover instant, saving your life in the most unforgiving situations.
*Chaos Inoculation-The reason we build CI is because with the nerfs to health, it is much easier to get a big effective health pool as CI (6k with pretty bad gear) which is preferably as melee. With a health build, it requires a ton of hp nodes and a ton of great gear to make it over 5k health.
*Soul Raker, Essence Raker, Spirit Raker-The bread and butter. These 3 skills add 12% lifesteal to your build which allow you to constantly leech back your life in even the scariest packs of mobs.
*Mind Drinker-Currently the only form of mana leech I use, and it is enough to sustain my mana at pretty much all times. I do run 1 mana pot just in case but Mind drinker is amazing.

Skill Gems and Links
*Cyclone-Added fire, Melee Physical, Melee Damage on Full Life, Faster Attacks (5-link). QUALITY ON ALL
*Double Strike-Melee Physical, Melee Damage on Full Life, Faster Attacks. This isn't necessary, you can use cyclone for single target but Double strike is a viable alternative to regain mana and resync yourself. QUALITY ON ALL
*Auras-Reduced Mana, Grace, Hatred, Discipline (Determination/Purity if you can afford).
*Curses-Vulnerability, Enfeeble, Temporal Chains, Faster Casting (Pick and choose what you need). QUALITY ON ALL
*Miscellaneous-Blood Rage/Increased Duration, Enduring Cry, Faster Casting, Decoy Totem, Lightning Warp

Bandit Rewards
*Normal-Skill Point
*Cruel-Physical Damage
*Merciless-Skill Point

Build Progression
I leveled until 72 as Health based and leap slam. I only switched to Ci Cyclone once I had the necessary gear and points to make the full switch. This build progression will reflect that.

GEAR-*YOU NEED WANDERLUST/DREAM FRAGMENTS IN ORDER TO NOT GET FROZEN
To gear you want very high ES, resists, and Int on every piece if possible. You want mana leech/life leech/attack speed/damage on gloves. I prefer movespeed on boots but some people prefer no movespeed. I prefer armor/es chest in order to get your sockets easier but an ES/EV chest works as well. I prefer an archon shield for the extra armor/es but a thorium spirit shield works as well. For a weapon, ideally you want a terror claw with a high physical roll, physical % roll, and Physical % hybrid roll, with attack speed and Int. Neck you want Int, % Max Es, ES, Resists, accuracy, Leech, and damage. Rings you want Int, ES, Resist, Accuracy, Leech, and damage. Here is my current gear to see how I have geared:

Thanks for writing this up!
looks pretty decent but iam interested in your Hit chance :D
its the only disadvantage of the whole build i guess where your get your Hit with only plus 24% accuracy. with your gear you should maybe have 70%-75% i guess
let me know about that pls
I have 77% chance to hit, ideally i would like more accuracy on my other ring and on my helm.
On the 119 point CI build, is there any reason why you have an 8% chaos resist node? Or did you just add it in by accident?
hey,
i just went cyclone ci with 73 and was farming docks merc easy (except some lmp rare dogs) so i went on to 66 maps. as long as enough mobs are there it works but then i faced hillok. could tank him with cyclone/double strike for a while until he crit me twice and i was almost dead. tropical island was the same thing. boss almost 2hits me

im running disc, grace, hatred, got 6,5k armor, 4,2k es, 1620 dps cyclone (withoutt frenzy charges)

am i just lacking gear or what can i do to face bosses?
@celdo @MrCeldo @celdohan
How many Respec points am I going to need for this build?
@celdo, single target tanking is difficult sometimes, and more gear definitely helps. 4.2k es is a little low, I would recommend trying to get 5k+.

@Darkdunne, I used every respec quest and I believe around 9 regrets
Do you think the new Daresso's Salute Amulet is worth it, if it was available in onslaught? Or is the ES loss too high?
Hey Helmannn, what do you think about this build instead?

Roughly the same es, maybe a little earlier game. None of the claw nodes except life leach, but resolute technique is massive and gets generic 1h nodes.
As you said you have around 77% chance to hit, which means you are leaching way less than you could be both mana and life wise.

This build also has 148% ar / 95% ev vs around 130%.

Basically what i'm asking is; how important are the claw damage nodes versus resolute technique? It's only about 30% physical damage your missing out on, and I feel this build has more late game potential.
