What's a good solo build for a beginner?

Since I have a little more spare time, I wanna get serious with PoE... The thing is, I haven't yet found a build that suits my style of gameplay, which is melee and solo. Any good ones out there that don't require already having gear?

Melee, Solo, Beginner

Ok, then, it shall be melee and beginner... I guess now I'll have to talk my friends into playing PoE...

melee sucks, its only good with very expansive gear.

Its hard to get 70+ as melee. Beginners should do dual(spark, fork, spell totem) totems to farm up items for other builds.

100% agree. I am a melee char and I farm "The City of Sarn" over and over again, but when u reach 70+ u get like no exp for it. And docks are only possible to farm with a group as a melee with bad gear. Otherwise the risk of dying is to high.

Facebreaker build.

I didn't run into manu issues with my facebreaker duelist until I hit merciless barracks.

This is the one I did. Now lvl 75. Works well with no gear.
