I, personally, am not a huge fan of the three nodes next to elemental adaptation and diamond skin, called "reduced mana, reduced mana, increased area of effect". You basically spend 5 passive points for: 20 STR, 10% larger aura and 10% less mana reserved. Now I don't know how many auras you want to use, but for me, 10% reduced mana for auras is about 70 mana.
That means, in total, these 5 points give you 70 mana, 20 STR and 10% aura radius.
Now the question is, is that worth it?
I don't think so.
Also: Left to that area, there is an "Ancestral knowledge" node with +30 INT. Why don't u use it? 30 INT = 6% ES, 15 flat mana.

You also use the 6% ES nodes in the middle. Wh don't you finish the Armor - ES nodes? They also only give 6%, but they also give you increased armor, which the other ones don't.

I'd take the 12% mana node at witch starting area.

Are you sure you actually need the Diamond Skin and Elemental Adaptation passives? Since it's a summoner/totem build, you'll be away from the fight most of the time. Not that you won't need resistances, but you should check if it isn't a bit of overkill. (Unless it's a Hardcore character, of course). All those points spent in the strenght nodes could go somewhere else to improve your totems' damage.

my current build is as follows (lvl 72):
Passive skill tree build

I'm not summon-oriented, I just keep 4 zombies and a skelly totem at hand if I need tankers.

What's important to know is that you'll benefit greatly from +cast speed nodes (Nimbleness), and some extra elemental damage would be good as well.

Well if you use dual totems, you don't actually need cast speed.
But he's right: It's basically 7 passive points for a bit of strength, which is completely useless, and some resistances that could just as well come from items or other, easily accessible passive nodes. Depending on the kinds of totems you use, maybe the elemental damage nodes at the templar starting area are also a good alternative. I, f. ex., use a flame totem, and it benfits greatly from basically all passive nodes from the templar starting area.
Alternatively, use the 12% lightning damage directly above witch starting area.

For any further recommendations, you might want to share your items and / or current battle-stance damage and resistances as screenshot.

He doesn't NEED cast speed since he'll rely both on minions and totems for damage, but his overall DPS will increase quite a lot if he invests some points into cast speed.

Higher cast speed = totems cast faster = more sparks/lightning bolts at any given time hitting mobs and increasing the chance of shocking them.
