CI Flask Loadout.

I am on my very first CI character ever and I am eating it like crazy. The character was absolutely beastly until I specced into all the high-ES gear I could afford and CI. I am just finding it very hard to cope with the complete lack of flask healing, and the status ailments that seem to get laid out on you on every single hit.
I assume most CI users stock like all granites loaded with status curing mods? That is what I am aiming to do but it still doesn't seem as effective as I was hoping. I was hoping that simple blood rage combined with the insane amount of damage of my AoE critical hits would be enough to leech back enough ES(with ghost reaver) while up close in melee. However, I often find that the burst damage obliterates me far too fast in some areas.
I still only have 2,100 ES and I assume it gets a lot easier since I hear of those running with like 10,000 ES. Of course, I don't intend to reach that level.
Now I am starting to think my unique item needs to be a flask that heals energy shield just to make my life easier.

Trying very hard to resist the urge to go back to my staple of life based with mana.

not trying to burst yor bubble here, but isn't 10k ES sort of, kind of, top of the line atm?

Of course, I wasn't expecting to get that. I was just mentioning it.

I'm actually liking CI a lot better than life, I use one of each elemental resistance flask + a granite + a quicksilver, ideally I'd get freeze dispel on every flask but it works fine so far at this point, I have a level 63 with 2.2k ES with CI that can solo piety in merciless in a 2 person party and I have a level 70 something that has been facerolling maps with just a bit over 3k ES since level 64 (only done 66-67 maps so far though)

but yeah all my life characters that I got to these levels weren't even able to manage maps, with better equips even.
2k es is really on the low end of things since the patch that added the +20% more es node behind CI. With only 2k es I wouldn't let myself get near any enemies with large burst capability and I'd try darn hard to avoid entirely any other sort of damage, too.

2k es is below the 'fun zone' for me; at that point, surviving requires so much caution that I'd be better off playing hardcore.
Well.. as long as you can sustain your mana always you wont be needing mana flasks, so i think 3 quicksilvers that remove shock, freeze and bleeding would be good and 2 granites of iron skin with extra charges or surgeons prefix mods on all of them

Also, you should only spec to CI when you have at least 3.5k ES, otherwise you might have a bad time, you will need chayula for CI, dream fargments isnt mandatory though, i recomend just flasks with dispell frozen mods.

you just have to get used to running away when at the right time so you regen your ES pool, i ran without life leech on my old shadow and i just ran away when i had to.

does that node really work for flasks? I'd hate to work all the way down there on the skill tree just to have it not work

Ammy unavailable in 4-month leagues. No such Passive Node exists.

I'm CI on both characters ....

That Beeing said I am goin to say you need about 3000 Es to make it somewhat enjoyable. Life leach definately important.

As for flasks I run 3 quicksilvers with 2 granites ...2 of which have remove freezing and 1 has remove bleed.

I'm missing my chuyula a lot cause I the stuns in anarchy however I seem to be able to cope so far. We will see how it goes when I progress into maps. I kind of want to be around the 5k Es mark before I head that direction.

Btw a unique that helps us CI builds would be fantastic or even a full life bonus since there is very few good full life bonus items for CI chars. A unique flask that heals Es and immunity to stuns would be fantastic but probably overpowered.
