how exactly does Necromantic Aegis work?

I have this shield equipped on my Witch



does it's ES apply to the minions? block chance? how about the HP and thorns mods?

also, if I use Tempest Shield do they benefit from it?

but still didn't understand which stats transfer and which don't, and how it works differently with Zombies and Skeletons. also, what about Spectres?

I think the wiki is pretty clear. Tempest Shield doesn't work, and passives that increase stuff on shields don't work. Everything else works. It's not different between zombies, skeletons, and spectres, it's all the same.

so in my example, all minions will have +65 ES, +30 life, reflect 4 physical damage, and will have 30% chance to block attacks?

also, Tempest Shield doesn't work on minions, so using it is just a senseless waste of mana at this point - because I can't block and therefore no lightning damage will be dealt?

Necromantic aegis is bad. You can use it with a shield with high resists, but you will be better off using it on yourself. Your minions with have crazy amounts of life 12k+ and more at high levels. Giving them energy shield is a waste. Blocking is ok, but physical damage does not kill your minions so much anyway, its the elemental damage. No lightning damage will be delt.

I've managed to keep high survivability on my minions so far without it, using a "Totem And Minion Elemental Resistance" support gem and a Purity Aura.
they seem very OP right now. especially against bosses :)
I do predict I'll have a problem with Chaos Damage in Merciless later, but well you can't have the cake and eat it.

if the only real benefit of Nercomantic Aegis is chance to block, sacrificing my survivability for it isn't worth it.
