Question about hybrid armour (ES/AR) for templars

So, the templar has those hybrid nodes near it's starting area (Armor/Energy Shield). What do most templars maximize? More armor or energy shield? Assuming your not going CI, you can only get a high roll on one of the 2 if you shoot for a life prefix on your gear. For instance:
If i roll the highest enhanced defense mod, that gives about 1800 armor, but only about 250 ES. Seems underwelming. Or do most people shoot for higher ES and less armour? Guess you could use it for EB build? "The Eye of Ra appears against you,

Aegis Aurora will restore 4% armor in ES on block.
This makes high armor and medium es really great with high block as your es will be fluctuating nicely giving you a lot more effective defense vs monsters. Btw that is a DAMN nice chest piece, gz. " Thanks for the response. Yes I crafted it. I linked it first, and then alt orbed it unit i got the life plus fire res. I was trying to roll flat ES mod, but got armor instead. I go for:
+ life + ES + armor and ES% as prefixes. That increases my life pool as much as possible. Armor can be on belts, granite flasks, molten shell, and can be magnified with +% armor while healing, in addition to the "more" effect that determination provides. None of those things can increase my available life and ES pool. Additionally, grace can be combined with potions that have +% evasion while healing, blinds, and enfeeble. This is what I use:
