Passive Skill Tree - Marauder - Two Hand Axe

First off, I would like to say that I am on my first play through on this character and have briefly looked around the passive tree and have talked with a few friends about the issue.

At a low level I had acquired a two hand sword and saw several two hand passives to go along with it. As I went down the tree I started to see that there was very little sword slots that were in one area compared to the mace and axe areas.

If I look right below where the Marauder starts you can see a huge axe section that has basically changed my mind into thinking that a two hand axe build would do a very large amount of DPS. There is also a fairly large mace area to the far left of the skill tree of this character. However I only see, if I remember correctly one section of a sword section that did not seem to provide as much advantage to using one.

Again, maybe I am overlooking things as if the small sections of sword slots are scattered and in turn equal out to the mace and axe huge sections.

TL;DR
Was using a two hand sword build and looked around the passive skill tree and saw a giant axe section and am now changing my build. Again, I am guessing I am overlooking something but simply cannot figure out how to get more sword passives unless I am just blind and cannot find them.

Actually the sword-skills are not in the central-marauder-region, since a sword is a str/dex-weapon.

If you look near the duellist you might find some sword-skills.

This tree shows some of the sword-skills that are reachable for a marauder (although i started from the duellist, since i don't want to click that much :P

But if you plan on using a 2h-sword you might as well just pick the 2h-skills, since there should be enough. But going for the duellist-region has another reason, you might need some dex to use high level swords and since you get this too it might be worth it, but if you start with versatility you should have enough dex for early swords.

Actually the marauder is meant to use axe or mace, using swords is still easy, try using claws as a marauder and you will notice that this is even more difficult. But if you go for 1h or 2h-combat the marauder has enough of that nodes, only dual-wielding a not str-based weapon could be tricky, since the marauder does not has as much duel-wield nodes as the duellist.

If you want to know where passives for certain weapons are, just look at there stats. If they require Dex/Str, they are normally spread from marauder to ranger, claws which require dex and int are spread between ranger and shadow.
I see thank for this. I guess it is clear that a sword even two hand, is not particularly made or for a Marauder.
