Inspecting other players characters
Yes, yes and yes. Showing off is a part of a fun. And fun is a purpose of gaming. So yes. Please make a possibility to see the stuff of other players. Not backpacks or stashes but the things they wear.

I am not sure it is a good idea. They have this on the D3 boards. It seems like it creates a lot of problems in the forums. People get judged by their gear and their thoughts and suggests just get bashed based on things like that. Even if you made it private people would post that you know you suck and that's why you won't show your gear. It would have some positive influence like the trade thing but I think it might cause problems and chase players away if they think that they will be made fun of for their gear.

" Nah that's not a strong reason to stomp out the idea altogether. Anyone who would succumb to that form of pressure is weak, and probably got unduly influenced by their peers in high school. |

" It does make more sense in D3 where you essentially have 1 character that last forever. I could be running every race every weekend and delete that character and start again. My HC char might have died so many times. And from the direction this game is going, i'm sure Default league will be looked down like "hurr durr noobs anyone can make 70 on default" Unviable build tester.

I just don't want to start seeing the forum go downhill because there is a small group of people that like to belittle others based on a game. I just don't see any real gain to starting this. I would rather see the time spent coding this going to the game and making it as smooth as possible.

Inspect would be an awesome feature. I want to show off how awesome my wizard is!
On the flip side, I'd love to get new ideas by seeing how some others have their gems configured. I want to see how insane the gear of the "level 100" guy is. Inspect was a great feature in Diablo 3. Unfortunately, the producers of Diablo 3 failed their econ 101 midterms. |

This was the first link in a google search for inspecting people on PoE so I'm going to bump the thread. It would be nice if we could inspect the random people we find idling in town, to both look at their gear for comparison and see what cosmetic effects they're currently using.
