Effective Armour for End Game?

So I have this melee crit witch build that involves the unique Alpha's Howl to run Discipline, Determination, Wrath/Purity and Grace/Hatred.
Keystones include: Chaos Inoculation, Ghost Reaver, Vaal Pact, Iron Reflexes, Unwavering Stance

So my topic for discussion is: whether you think the armour i get will effectively nullify enough damage at high level maps to compensate the absence of a full ES helm. I ask because I have seen some CI players give up ES boots for Wonderlust. (freeze immnity) I have to play solo because of latency issues.

Sources of armour:
- Alpha's Howl ~ roughly over 600
- Grace Aura ~ roughly over 1000
- 86% improved evasion rating
- belt ~roughly 300
- determination ~ roughly 50%

-- the rest comes from surgeon's granite flasks

Keep in mind that this in not in regards to my total ES/ES multiplier. I'm quite happy with the numbers I'm getting.

The main attraction in using Alpha's Howl is the immunity to freeze and often I see the hood going for less than the hard-to-get Dream Fragments.

I don't know if it will be enough but i can tell you, in case you don't know, that Each endurance charge raise your damage reduction by 4% ( maxium reduction is 90% ;) )

Short answer "Yes."
Long answer "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees."

2000 x 2 (100% inceared eva)x 1.5 (50% more armor)= 6k armor

idk if my math is anywhere near right but that is about what you will be getting, and imo its enough not to get raped by titty bitches etc. without having granite on all the time

E: you could even consider the armor nodes next to unwavering

imo 10-15k armor unbuffed is safe. 10k armor on my melee ranger was lol in 66-70 maps face take alllll day.

I have 25k armour and I can still get bursted down 2k hp in the blink of an eye. u_u

Really? By what and where? Are you res maxed and whats your HP pool and life leech %? DO you have block at all? What % is that?

81% res, 4.5k hp, 4.2k after auras. 25k armour is 73% reduction, with Granite I get 85% reduction. Leeching 2% at the moment but I was using a Leech gem back when I was mapping heavily and still getting crazy burst damage taken. Have 26% block.
I do use an Abyssus so Vulnerability Curse from the Whipping Miscreations just absolutely melted me. I recall taking 2k hits from them multiple times.

Ouch, block seems a little low, ( of course i'm using a shield so it will be higher, I try to aim for 40%+ block. I also use claws to get closer to max leech at 10% of current hp per second)

What if you use enfeeble on the mobs?
