The method bots use to farm

Ive friend added a few bots and stalked them to learn their ways.

The bots farm mud-flats, go to their stash and deposit their orbs, than head back to the zone.
They continue doing this even when they are level 14.

Their path-finding is pretty bad and they can't handle randomly generated maps.
Mud flats and everything below is not randomly generated.
I have never seen a bot go to any zone beyound mudflats.

I think by adding just a small amount of randomly generated terrain to the first 3 starting areas GGG could cripple bots farming potential.

I wish the areas were more randomized than they are. Advertising random instances when I know exactly where to go (for the most part) is a little misleading, and it isn't just PoE that does it.

Well if this is the method they use, then they're going to collect a lot of orbs before hitting 25... and since currency drops is getting lower the higher level you are compared to the zone you are farming in, i guess that we soon will see bots farming higher lvl zones... but it will take a bit of time, and until then RMT will be taking a hit.

From latest patch notes.

Trading Currency Items away to other players is now blocked until you have a level 25+ character on your account. This rule does not apply to existing accounts created before this patch. It does not affect Scrolls of Wisdom or Portal Scrolls. This change is designed to disrupt RMT and should not affect legitimate players very much.

It isn't perfect, but its a start.

While I strongly dislike the level design in PoE because of how illogical and convoluted most of it seems, it's good to know that it's at least working for bot control.

Multi boxing is THE way to farm. It is how RMT site rake in orbs. It is how RMT sites rake in gold.

Most RMT sites dont even farm on their own.. they hire people who multibox to sell them orbs/gold in bulk.

how is this derailing? He is saying that bots ate not good, but multiboxers are ok, yet they are using the same type 3rd party software
