Lighting arrow + chain

Seeing as lightning arrow hits 3 monsters from 1 arrow does that mean if I use chain support it will chain from every separate hit or only the main one?

So A or B:

A)
-1 hit using lightning arrow
-3 monsters hit from lightning arrow jump
-2 extra monsters chained per lightning arrow jump
-A total of 4 base hits x 2 chains per hit = 8 hits.

B)
-1 hit using lightning arrow
-2 extra hits from first lightning arrow
-3 monsters hit from lightning arrow jump.
-A total of 6 hits.

So what i'm asking is does lightning arrow first hit chain or does lightning arrow jumps chain as well?

Each hit will do the aoe lighting part of Lightning Arrow. Meaning... the more mobs in a group the more total damage done.

I'm not talking damage, I'm talking hits.
Damage is not the need, I need more hits for Life gain on hit/faster attacks + frenzy charge life builder.

C)
-3 hits using lightning arrow with chain
-4 monsters hit from lightning arrow jump for each previous hits.
-A total of 3 base hits x 4 jumps per hit = 12 hits.
