" LOL! Ironic isn't it? The sad thing is, this will likely become another 10+ page thread comparing the 2. If you really want to end the theads comparing them... 1. don't create another post on the subject and 2. Certainly don't create a new thread saying one is better than the other! There will always be comparisons. D3 is an inferior product that has MUCH polish to hide it's lack of depth. It only sold because of the name. I'm not saying it's bad, I got my money's worth from play, but it has no chance to keep the attention of any serious player base. OTOH PoE is still yet to get any serious polish. The players know it, and still enjoy the depth and diversity that is available. As far as replay ability goes... you could play the same class 5 different ways and still be considering other possibilities. The true vision of the future of both these games occurs in how those companies treat their public face. Blizz has almost NO interaction with the public. they hire Moderators to censor their forums, give vague promises in the form of press releases, and make drastic changes to the core structure of the game weeks after release. I can think of no business where this has been a successful business model. GGG's DEVs actually participate in the game environment, they reply in the forums, they take feedback and weigh it carefully (even if it goes against what they originally planned) Bottom line: they respect their target users. -- Providing opinions since I was old enough to tell my sister she was ugly. |

If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

After the massive disappointment that is/was Diablo 3, there is a huge audience seeking the answer to their gaming desires.
Because of that, lots of people want to compare them, and rightly so, its the same genre. In fact, I can think of no more perfect game to compare PoE to than Diablo 2. |

I feel Diablo 1 is superior to all these games, your mothers, your distant female relatives, and your grandmas.
I also feel D1 likes raping them all in the butt, because the normal way is too mainstream for D1. Also, guess where the gem goes in THIS expansion. |
