What Skills for a physical Claw build?
Hi,
I'm planing to make a physical Claw build simply because of the physical damage and Claw passives buff. It will be a build for Anarchy league and I will run mostly in a party so I'm planning to play as offensive as possible. For now I think I will go Dual Wield. For defense I will use CI with Ghost Reaver and Vaal Pact. Here a prototype of my build:

Now I have the feeling that I'm missing some possible skills I could use. I thought about some skills (combos) but I want to see what ideas you guys have. ^^ In this thread I want to mainly discuss what Skills and Combos you could use with physical Dual or Single with Shield, Claw builds. It would be cool to know what you would use as a main skill, with what support gems and what secondary skills. IGN: Akimiya

I have a 4L cyclone- supported by faster attack, conc effect and melee phys dmg.
not really decided what I will want for the remaining 2 link, will be something like melee dmg on full life, increase area effect or multistrike for the auto targeting, will need to do some testing though Green_honey_boo_boo is my favourite south park character!

Hmm, I thought about using cyclone but I had the feeling that you need few movespeed, a lot of attackspeed and even with the buffs it seems still better with elemental damage. Also wondered if it works, how well Cyclone works with Multistrike. Especially when I'm physical and the damage effectiveness of Cyclone is low already then with Multistrike... It would seem that a simple single target skill with splash support would do more dmg..

I'm currently doing a physical dual claw shadow in one of the new leagues and I;m using: DualStrike + Melee Splash + MultiStrike + Melee Physical in a 4 link (haven't found a 5 link yet). Since there's quite a few crit nodes near the shadow tree I grabbed a 14% quality dual strike for the crit chance and I do quite a lot of dps. Here's kind of where my build is at:

Right now, as long as I'm attacking I pretty much can't die. Just pick up surgeons suffix on your granites and instant pots and you'll always have them up. Thanks for your build, at the moment I'm also simply runing Dualstrike with Splash and Meele Physical because it has nicely decent AOE dps. I was thinking of getting more Critical instead of just physical nods but I somehow decided to focus more of fixated base damage instead of Critical chance (not sure if it is better for DPS?).
Hope for some more oppinions what you guys play with physical claw becuase this idea has become popular after all.^^ IGN: Akimiya

What I like about going crit is with Hatred I have a decent amount of cold dmg so when I crit I freeze the mobs quite often. And I might be wrong but with multistrike I believe either all 3 hits crit or none do (ie it rolls crit once). So with crit weakness right now I have about 40% chance to crit so I like it a lot.

There are 2 ways to think about movement speed regarding cyclone.
-The slower you go, the more hits you do give the same travelling distance, hence you do more damage but also risk being hit more -The faster you go, you spend less time going through the mobs, which is more flexible and less chance of being hit. The down side of this is you do less damage as well as it's mana heavy I personally favour the slower movement speed, so I will avoid movement speed mods on my shoes etc. regarding multistrike, the damage effciency goes way up, due to autotargeting meaning you spend more time in mob packs as suppose to travelling in a stright line which sometime are not hitting the mobs, multistrike gets around this problem. The damage reduction is more or less offset by the improve in efficiency I felt, however biggest 2 problems are desync and spending more time getting hit by mobs. Gettimg hit by mob should be a probelm given the insane leech claw users have. However I haven't test this thoroughly yet though Green_honey_boo_boo is my favourite south park character!

Its jsut that I have the feeling that Cyclone does fewer damage then when I simply support Dualstrike with Splash. Still need to test with Multistrike..
Dualstrike and Cyclone seem like the most common options it seems. What about other skills I could use? I'm not too sure what can profit from physical damage (claw) the most but what about WihrlingBlades? I can also primitively use Flicker or DominatingBlow I gues too but not too sure what is good with mainly focusing physical damage (maybe played too many casters xD). IGN: Akimiya

Dual Strike is the only skil that use 2 claws at once.
Every other skill in the game use only 1 weapot per strike so you will be better with shield if you decide to go cyclone/Lightning Strike For Cyclone i would suggest: Melee Damage + Melee Damage on Full Life + Concentrated effect +faster attacks |
