copy&paste = new trading system

Scrolling through party descriptions full of spam,
i wonder if there isnt something we could learn from it.

Imagine a group chat system for trading, a new Trading-Group tab next to the party tabs. (trading is also a social activity)
Like a party, you would create a Trading-Group.
In the title you can state your business, what type of items you are selling, which currency you exchange and to what rate.
the search filter function currently working with party allows for easy filtering and display.

This also adds a certain degree of transparency, because now you can see each trading group offering a certain currency exchange and their change rate side by side.

As with parties,
you can only be part of one trading group. So either you have your trading group up for selling, or you join one to buy something / participate in an auction. of course you can still whisper to your hearts content.

The creator of a trading group, can post a sticky note, including all items he offers and what prices etc. = the same thing everyone is posting on trade chat atm. so newly joining folks can see what you offer, without you reposting it periodically.

Basicly you will have your very own trade chat, just like party chat.
The normal trade-chat is of no further use and the $ sign can be used to code for your trading group chat.

In summary:
group chat mode, similar to party chat (hopefully possible to borrow some code there), with similar mechanics. you can only be part of one trading group.

-permanent index of your trading group = your little shop
-permanent note of the items you offer
-easy to change title, to react to changing exchange rates / items you offer
-easy filtering and overview over currency exchange / item shops / item auctions
-removal of "normal" trade chat
->fire and forget trading shop ;)

another interesting addition to this:
- en/disable notification messages, if a new trade group with your given filter keywords in the title is created, you get a message containing the full title description.

what do you think?

Forgot to mention:

this doesnt replace a full fledged trading system, which offers in game item indexing. but it would be a damn good intermediate one.
but so far i read, the Dev team is busy adding and testing new content, rather than reworking existing "features".

if you derive from the party-creation and chat system, it might also be possible to add an additional text field, as trading group description, in which you would post the links to your items.
as an alternative to the sticky post i mentioned before.

this is easier to be done, than any icons, or text bubbles, or 3d market stand or even vendor trays added to the game. (though the last one would be funny)

Unfortunately, that does nothing about the dozens of jackasses who junk up the party window with their trade spam.

There just needs to be a report button on party names, there are always gold seller partys.
about the party spamming, they just need to ban certain keywords and filter them out.
also captchas at account creation may help.

the problem with extern platforms is, its not genuine, its from a third party and even if its well done, the game has to offer its own means to manage trading.

i would also prefer that what ever happens in the game, stays in the game. no permanent tab out- tab in, just to check the market.

the more or less copy paste of the chat mechanics, would allow for such an easy and fast intermediate solution. simple, yet powerful enough to replace that unlucky trade chat.

Edit: as this thread shows very well, any extern site used can always be a possible security issue or at least cast a lot of confusion.

extern sites are no valid replacement for a decent ingame trade system. and while we are waiting for one, i think it would be beneficial to try this fast patchwork solution in the meantime.
