I just checked. His character sheet DPS is ~20k dps. The "60k" dps is if his attack his 3 targets.

Then, by this vein, my character could be a lot more dps.
My Rain of Arrows is 18k character sheet. If it hits 3 targets (which it easily does), then can I call myself an "18 x 3 = 54k" dps character?

I think you don't understand how Freezing Pulse shotgunning works. If you target far away, all 3 projectiles from Lesser Multiple Projectiles will be launched in same direction. This effectively tripples the damage.

Freezing Pulse pierces and each individual projectile hits a large area.

Edit: so if he has 3 targets in front of him and he shotguns them, each of the three projectiles will hit each target. I.e. it is as if 3 AoE spells hit 3 targets each, i.e. 9 hits in total.

Rain of Arrows and Lightning Arrow builds?

What is the current top character-sheet range of DPS for Bow users (Rain of Arrows / Lightning Arrow)?
I have seen ~20k DPS on the threads (Prooxy, Gankstaboo).

And if 20k DPS is the ceiling for Bow users, WTF? why is it so much lower than these 80k freezing pulse builds?

Freezing Pulse achieves ridiculous DPS through Righteous Fire and Low Life build with Shavronnes.

Needless to say, it isn't without any disadvantage they are able to do so.

RoA and LA builds can easily go Kaom's which means much higher survivability, but less damage.

Because dps is a number and doesn't take in account range, projectile propagation, aoe, passive synergy, unique synergy.

With that said, there is no build that can match shavs RF in terms of damage output.

24k dps Power Siphon spread sheet (using lmp + chain). Best of cases if i do 3 consecutive crits(which isnt difficult with 77 crit chance):

-3k max damage each projectile, 700 multiplier = 21k dmg each projectile
-3 projectiles which chain 2 times each = 9 hits
-3.12 attacks per second ~3aps

21k damage * 9hits * 3aps = 567k area damage dealt in 1 second lol xD. Not counting the 80% increased damage from first two hits(2 shock stacks) or ele weakness curse
