Pickit, pickit, pickit
Been playing for a while now, got 1 char who can do some mapping and lunaris farming. Today while farming lunaris, I saw a 6s item drop, it was picked up too quick for me to see the links (if any), it really reminded me of D2... A simple google search reveals a lot (path of exile pickit) quite depressing. Turns me off of pugs totally, but little can be done against this kind of script.

Someone close this thread. Revealing to the public about working hacks I am sure is against TOS. You temp players, what the hell is wrong with some of you.

With the new allocated loot changes it is not going to be an issue anymore. Also we can debate the topic as long as we are not providing links to said hack.

I'm just reporting a clear issue with a minor reference (so you can double check it yourself), I prefer a clean game... apparently #2 doesn't. Indeed, I guess when loot changes come it'll be harder, but any FFA game is suspect to me.

The only way to have a "clean game" is to play strictly solo.

Actually the terrible D2 thing was called GrabIt or SnagIt forgot which one it was.
And it was bad because Telekinese allowed you to pick up everything, so you had no chance of picking because it got picked 2-3 screens away. The successor pickit was far slower compared to the Telekinese grabbing. Also it was quiet funny since sorcs had to teleport to the item and you simply dropped something common into a pack of deadly mobs and let them die. PoE is rather slow paced and the only skills which could be used to pick items up are leap slam, shield charge and whirling blades. Those skills were also used for trade scams in CB. |

On one hand, its terrible, on the other hand, GGG is implementing loot options, and I don't play in public anyway, ever.
I play with my guild, and its good. <3 GGG. <3 GGG.

This is not Diablo 2. Back in the UO online and Diablo 2 Days. That was the first period hacks became and issue and bots did not over run Diablo 2 until its late stages in LOD. Gold was intended to be there currency but that failed and for awhile unless you had Stone of Jordan for currency you did not get anything good from trades. The good ole days before hackers and bots ruined it. I remember getting banned for 48 hours as a legit player because bots over ran D2 so much they had it rigged where if you made a game, left and made a new one to fast it was auto mated ban. Alot of legit players left due to this. I had a Enigma Hammer Pally and would farm Meph over and over. Within a minute I could get there and kill and leave and I had all the magic find charms ect. But when that was made it kinda killed magic finding and end the end the game. There was a lot less competitive gamers back then also. I remember when I hit 99 after endless weeks of grinding. There was only about 15 at the time. There was no real reason for 99 except to say you hit 99.
I can only assume there will be some level 90-100 Maps coming out in release of POE. But the point here is the referances to Diablo 2 can not play a role in todays cheaters. It was unexpected back then. Now it is expected and gaming companies like GGG take precaution before hand. I am sure there going to ban these cheaters but in what is called a ban wave. I major blow to the 3rd party world of exploiters. World of Warcraft in 2008 banned over 1/2 million accounts in 1 day. Now I do feel that these conversion websites are wrong. |

Loot timers already solved the pickit problem a long time ago.
The problem was they needed to add M2M and add 5L/6L/6S gear to loot timers so pickit scripts couldn't pick them up and everyone got their share. The problem now is the entire way the game is going to be played will be changed with permanent loot allocation and two other pseudo options. FFA will suffer from pickit if it ever catches on, which it won't and loot timers is less efficient than permanent loot so permanent loot will become standard outside of novelty purposes or maybe in certain race events. |
