Effectivness of claws instead of dagger for DW build

1.63 vs 1.2 speed. That is why.
Try first dagger stats on your dagger base.

I'm more using it because it is the best I have yet =)
I mean, it has a decent raw physical dmg and a high crit chance. The elemental modes are just a bonus I have on it. The only thing that I don't really like on it is the lack of an attack speed mode though, I prioritized raw dmg because of how dmg reduction is calculated, if I could afford a dagger like yours right now, I would.

The fact that I don't see that much differences between claws and daggers yet must come from the fact that I don't have such powerful ones. You don't have crit multiplier on your daggers either, so basically, claws could have the same modes or almost here.

I'm wondering about crits and claws because I really like my Twin terrors node, and I'm wondering if I should drop it if I switch to claws.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Again. I have 230 more crit chance and 66 more multiplier ON DAGGER BASE AND PASSIVES in the tree that works only for daggers. If that is not the difference for you i can't imagine what can be. This mean that with all the same mods on claws or daggers daggers will do crits 20% more often and will do+ 1.66*1.5*non crit damage. So you claw with crit gem will do 3.5x normal damage on crit, and dagger will do 6x normal damage on crit and will do this crit 20% more often.

Can't afford to put that many points in dagger considering my tree, I have not ader's touch yet to be honest.
I though you were only talking about dagger alone and heir potential from modes and not about the passives though, my bad, my offensive nodes are DW based for atm, but I'm aiming for adder's touch if I keep using daggers.

And this is why I'm still hesitating between daggers and claws, I don't have many points to spend in offensive nodes yet, I'm doing quite fine with daggers, but would that be better with the claws ?
I would spent the 4 first points in extra leech obviously, but then should I drop twin terrors or not ? this is the thing.

Btw, could you share your excel file ? I would like to adapt it and theorycraft a littel bit to know the efficiency of Twin terrors with claws =).

Pha! And you can call this a difference that worth attention. That's just nothing really, comparing to that hufe life leech claws provide.

that "huge" life leech wasn't doing sh*t for me, I was still running out of hp in a hurry even DW with decent claws.

That is nothing in early and mid game, indeed.
But in late game well-equipped character restores full hp (or ES) with every crit with just 9-11% life leech (that is easily obtained through bloodrage for example), so extra lifeleech does little matter, if you chance to crit is around 80-90%.
