Medallion in Valley of Titans is bugged

I gathered both pieces of the medallion and put them into the pedestal but I can't pick either of them or even see what they do. It worked for my friend but mine won't do anything. I tried reloading the game, reloading the area, using ALT, tried even using a controller and nothing seems to work.
