Seriously? (Deadlock error, freezing temporary fix Solution)

I have held off from making this post because I have been really enjoying the game since launch. With over 2.5k hours now and multiple characters reaching +lvl90 I am getting to the end of my tether. This league in particular has far been the worst. Not because of the content which is great btw but I have never experienced so many freezes in game and deadlock detected error, oh and the mad memory leak which causes my 32GB to fill up after a long gaming session. I don't have any issues in any other games which are far more demanding than POE2.

Pleeeeeeeeeeease fix this. My drivers are all up to date, I have tried multiple graphics configurations including Vulkan but this league it is getting unbearable. I really don't know what to suggest but I know I am not the only one who has been experiencing this.

Funny enough its actually worse than it was at release. I dont know what they did but 0.1 i had no issues and it was running smooth. Now I get random drops, freezes, deadlock detected, etc.

I've been rubber-banding like a racquetball thrown too hard in a tiny room lately. :')

I do believe I may have found a temporary solution for now. Yesterday I managed a 15.5hrs session without a single freeze or deadlock error, something which has never happened in these last two leagues.
It's down to how POE handles the workload on all CPU cores. If you are on a multi core CPU (most are these days) then try this:

- Open task manager
- Find Path of Exile in the details list
- Right click and select Affinities
- Disable CPU0

Doing this will stop CPU0 being used for POE which has completely eradicated all long freezes and deadlock errors for me. The only problem with this method is that you have to do this manually every time you launch the game. If you want to automate this then download a program called Program Lassoo and the process is pretty much the same as in Task Manager albeit selecting the affinity always from the right click menu.

Wish this was my only problem. This league poe2 has so many problems with AMD that it's genuinely almost unplayable on many setups

I can't even use Vulkan because it gives me infinite loading, even though I used Vulkan since 0.1 until this league

Somehow I still hit lvl 100 tho so I'm putting the game to rest until 0.5 now
