Endgame Map - Concept
|
I have come to appreciate the 2d campaign maps during the Acts.
The artwork is great, It fits the meaning of "Atlas" and its growing on me. As much as I love the map for Total War Warhammer 3, for this game I think the 2d Atlas is great. Some others had mentioned, they don't want an Infinity Map. I'm on that same boat now. A map that can develop familiarity but also be vast, might be better. Imagine a large 2d Atlas, with plenty of Landmarks, A great big map, with a lot of opportunities. GGG could always release new endgame chapters or mini atlas maps. Procedurally generated 2d maps could fit into that vision, Entering a realmgate could be a mini Atlas map instead of entering a single map. Going on an Expedition, could be an expedition of multiple islands. Entering the realmgate for Delerium, Abyss, Ritual or Breach could be a mini procedurally generated Act in and of itself. Maybe using 1 stack of splinters at realmgate for breach, could allow us to complete 1 map from its own "Act-like Atlas map" at a time. Rewarding us in Atlas passive points for completing. I still do like the Tablets and Waystones. It might be okay to have a different Atlas passive tree and Waystone inventory for each character, For a fresh start at endgame every time. I don't think its too far fetched or too large of a pivot to be impractical. A lot of time went into developing the infinity map, but I think it would be worth reconsidering. -side note I'd like to see mobs in the environments that they belong in again, instead of mixed together at random on endgame maps. " this is exactly how it works. maybe try playing the game instead of giving feedback? :D |

" nice rage bait buddy because you're completely wrong, the maps have random mobs from different origins, all mixed together on maps where they don't belong Last edited by TwitchGLHFsport#2155 on Mar 6, 2026, 2:23:26 AM

" maps have a core set of "mobs in the environments that they belong in" and some random packs. so it definitely is not random |

We finally need a Poe2 character overview (in the forum) so that we can sort out all the feedback from people who have never played the game.

" I have over 600 hours so far, I think it's fair to say i have played the game. I'm talking about keeping the thematics of the mobs in line with the maps, without mixing random mobs. I guess it doesn't matter if you are playing the latest auto cast exploit, your screen will be such a blur, you wouldn't be able to see the map either way, so it doesn't matter to you. I guess that makes you good at the game. but if you accept that for what it is, you should look at the Early Access Discussion thread instead.
