I've looked at the image for a while and I really don't think it's AI... it doesn't have the usual artifacts in the small details, it doesn't have that weird sheen/look all AI images do, etc etc.

They follow a 4-1-4-1 pattern, with the outer pieces pointing outward. As for the perceived artifacting on the central crown bit, that is the central spire peeping out from behind. The support bars behind the glass are harder to explain. My guess would be an oversight when rendering the background through the glass. When dealing with reflective glassy layers and asmosphereic lighting, warpage can rear its ugly head. I don't think it's fair to assume the worst. |

Those support bars in the back look sketchy to me but maybe they're melting in the sun. I think AI is inevitable in all art disciplines as a helper going forward. After Last Epoch's parent company said they were moving towards all AI generated slop in their games people are on edge. Nobody wants it to go that far.
GGG used third parties for art assets before that ended up being copyrighted material (skill icons? I forget) so it's not farfetched to presume they'd make an AI promo image to save time. |
