Active Search spam by people you put on ignorelist

Its a problem thats been going on for many years.

I have active searches going and one or two guys just reprice their items up and down for days. I get a woop and look at the same items over and over and over again.

Or the infamous person that starts coloring/linking their item in a trade stash. 50 woops per minute. And the only thing you can do is deactivate your live search.

So the solution would be the ignore list. Put them on and be done with it. But sadly that does nothing.

I really don't know if its technically probable but I would love to be able to exclude certain people from showing up on my active search.

Just limit your search to instant buyout only like everyone else, and never see this problem again

It seems you missunderstood. It has nothing to do with instant or whisper. Happens on both.

It definitely doesn't happen on instant, because you CAN'T change the prices on your items immediately after listing them.

What?

I think you still missundserstood. Yes you can change the price of an item in instant buyout. Of course there is a delay until you can change the price. And of course theres no problem with people doing this by lowering the price of their item over time.

But there are certain people that re-list their item up and down in price 50 times a day just to get a "fresh ping".
If you dont understand how this can be annoying I cant be any more clear, sorry.

If something is showing up in your live search and you don't want to buy it, it means your live search parameters are wrong.

You're right, I misunderstood; I assumed you were talking about an actual problem which exists. I am incapable of understanding why someone would deliberately live search for something, find it, and then decide that they don't actually want it, but keep running an identical live search for the thing they don't want.

What's the problem here?

Sir please stop hijacking this just trying to be right. You clearly dont want add anything of value here and please accept that people play this game differently. Maybe someone more active has different problems that might go over your horizon. I dont know why your only mission is to talk me out of my problem.

This is, by the way, not only me having this issue with the trade website. I talked about this problem with others over the years and its not as easy as you make it out to be.

Please, stop.

Can't you just ignore them on the trade site?
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

Stop trying to make people play the game like you do. If they don't enjoy it how about just leave it at that?
Thats exactly the point! Yes you can. But as soon as they change the price they land up in your active search. So it does nothing.

Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing, we're talking about the ignore feature on the in-game market or trade site specifically and not the one for chat correct?

Because that one should completely exclude people from your searches, you'll have to forgive me it's been a very long time since I used the live search feature.
