Played chronomancer this league and i can definitely say it was the most fun i have had in this game and definitely start 0.5 with chrono.
I don`t mind about multibutton build. Hell, i prefer it. As for ascenadncy nodes Temporal Rift and Time Freeze: They must stay ingame - chronomancers bread and butter. I freakin love both of those skills. Two solid panic buttons and an opener for really unique builds like chronoblaster. Not to mention resource and position reset. While everyone is about scaling damage this is defenesive layer accesible only by chronomancer. Please don`t remove them. Should any of those skills grant slow immunity? I actually like idea of being slow immune by chrono this or any other way. Cooldown recovery + Time Snap: Chrono bread and butter again. Didn`t use time snap but 33% not to consume cd synergised very nice with Temporal Rift and Time Freeze. Quicksand Hourglass: This is a node i feel needs adjustments the most. Don`t get me wrong - it`s nice campaign/leveling node but as for endgame i expect something more stable and reliable. Someone suggested it should stop during time freeze. Nice addition to hit max cast speed but it would add another thing to take care of and people already complain about buttons. Inevitable agony: I personally didn`t use it beside tests. While no curse limit is really nice buff, opened door for curse stackers, it somehow felt weird. Nevertheless nice for party play. Recoups: Big +1 for energy shield recoup suggestions. Could be too much of a buff and remove build enabling ability from sacrosanctum but hey, chrono on sc is below 1%. 20% slow: Also +1 to previous suggestions. Missing QoL adnotation is weirdest thing i`ve seen. To summarize, please don`t change too much about chronomancer. While it deserves more love and buffs, i definitely don`t want it to be another generic damage scaling playing route. Buffs yes, complete reworks/overhauls - no, maybe except some nodes. I think Temporal Rift should be more busted. To the point it should remove all negative statues from player. For example you got Ignited. Press a button - no ignite. Sorry pal I hasn't been Ignited 14 steps ago xDDDDD

Chronomancer is pretty good and fun. It's okay for an ascendancy to not be played by the majority of the playerbase. And although I am a Chrono main, I don't want buffs or reworks. Reworks can ruin the class and Buffs would bring attention to it and make people demand for nerfs.
" Your class has other buttons besides the ascendancy ones. In the previous league I used Time Freeze, Time Snap and stacked cooldown recovery to make Eye of Winter back to being spam-able. And in 0.4.0 Eye of Winter is better than ever thanks to the projectile speed change. Chronomancer feels like it should have access to "Damaging ailments deal damage X% faster" or the ability to cause all of an ailment's damage over time instantly or something.

I would redo the ascendancy passives a little.
Now and Again should be baseline first ability "This passive skill is free to allocate" like Blood Mage has Sanguimancy. - Now and Again would instead of "chance to not consume a cooldown" work like spell echo and make skill repeat 1-2 times, think of it like Glitch in the matrix style stutter when world is altered. - Now and Again would also make damaging ailments faster, buffs expire slower and make skill effect duration nodes 50 % stronger. Inevitable Agony and The Rapid River nodes are put together and presence area is increased by 50 %. - Pressing this skill would give few seconds of time that accumulates damage taken as personal heal over time like the recoup 8 seconds and do burst damage in presence area and leave curses on enemies. When accumulating damage damage taken is decreased 50 %. Since Now and Again moved free to allocate in its place is Back to the Future (or something as innovative) that works opposite Footprints in the Sand and enables you to Blink forward. Time Snap Removes cooldown of skills and gives increased seal gain frequency and amount of seals. New skill Dejavu enables you to use two skills at the same time, one press two skills, and gives % of skill speed but lowers your moving speed when casting. I played a lot of Chronomancer recoup in 0.3 and even a bit in 0.4. After playing the new sorcerer and scaling recharge delay/rate, I can safely say that the investment recoup requires (passives and giving up 1k ES chest) is not worth it. Recharge delay/rate works just as well, if not better most of the time, and you'll have a much higher ES pool. My recoup chronmancer tops out at around 14k-15k ES. Whereas my recharge delay/rate scaling Disciple of Varashta had around 23k ES.
Since the key thing this ascendancy gives is recoup, I don't think it's worth it anymore. |

I mean can chronomancer be nitpicking what is time manipulated or manipulates in general? Lorewise removing everything seems more accurate and i`d rather keep my shrines, charges etc than removing ignite or some shit i`m already prepared for. " Free points - I don`t think it`s proper way of buffing chronomancer or any other ascendanciy. Blood mage had to be reworked that way as it was mandatory ascendancy tech enabler and was unfair vs other ascendancies. There is no such case here, also it would make dangerous precedence for other unpopular ascendancies to require similar rework. Matrix thing - so how would it work with time freeze? Time freeze 1 ends and then timefreeze 2? I think i prefer chance not to consume cooldown :D ---------------------- Can`t find it now but somewehere above i`ve seen suggestion to sands of time give not only cast speed but other speed type(attack f.e) - Big +1.
