why are so many people complaining about so many things ?
" yea this i can understand, its sucks ... i hope these exploiters stop doing it... idk what these people are playing for if they use exploits. |
|
" thank you! i knew there are some who understand what i meant! |
|
" yea, this one i can get behind on.. GGG does seem a bit slow on the uptake about dishing out contents... the druids took 1 whole year to release. lol |

The random and constant one-shots on builds with full 75% elemental resistances and multiple other defensive layers, the always having some build-breaking modifier on every waystone or extremely annoying mechanic you have to dodge 24/7 (having to dodge elemental weakness and temporal chain circles 24/7 is not a fun gameplay loop), the people abusing Vaal Temple to destroy the economy. They don't prioritize fun and that is the problem with the gameplay, there are currently waAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaY too many downsides I encounter Every. Single. Hour. On. The. Hour. Nobody plays ARPGs to go from feeling invincible to randomly one-shot. It strips my body of all the dopamine I've generated in the past 24 hours and it's honestly one of the worst feelings I've ever felt in a video game.

People just like to complain. This is not even related to the game.
No matter where you go, who you talk to, what you talk about, people always complain; very few are actually content. The world is a bitter place full of unsatisfied people. |

My experience back when I played PoE1 - mind this was several years ago - already was that PoE has a relatively negative player base.
I think part of it is that the game is pretty addictive and a lot of people continue playing out of habit despite not really having fun anymore. So they pour that to the forums. And there's a general bias with game forums towards negativity. People are much more likely to come to the forums to complain about something, than to give positive feedback. Personally I've liked the league and I find most complaints I read here to be based on kind of an iffy understanding of the game. For sure there are balance issues, but they do get exaggerated a fair bit. Sure the economy stabilized towards the standard economy pretty fast this league, but it'd been at that point anyway in a week. |

are you kidding ? the world improves because of unsatisfied people. The pig doesn's evolve because it is always satisfied.

The main reason for complaints is that GGG made yet another game that is too complicated for their own design team.
To top it off, the lead dev has the mentality that if he can't recreate a problem, the problem doesn't exist. (in his own words) Pretty much the same thing that happens when one person thinks they are smarter than the rest of the world. It's a huge ball of yarn they don't have time or resources to unravel. So the only reason you aren't complaining is either A. You haven't got far enough in the game for the problems to show or B. The problems aren't affecting your particular style of playing versus the other 2000 styles of play available. |

" the poe forum complaints are a particularly nasty and aggressive varietal. |
|
" I think you're mixing cause and effect. Dissatisfaction is just the starting point. The real driver is purpose + mastery. People who love what they do and know how to do it build the future. Constant whining without action is just background noise. The world is moved by builders, not just critics. \Step by step/
