exploit early exploit often
the only streamer i remember suffering retribution for exploiting something that was obviously not intended was empy and iirc they didn't even take the loot from the exploit and still copped a league long ban just for doing it. i don't watch the guy so maybe my memory is rusty but why would ggg only punish that guy when some of these streamers have legitimately done more harm to the game?
This is an epidemic in most online games and has been for some time. Somewhere along the way video games became less of a hobby and passion project and more of a system of financial gain. This became very evident in games such as World of Warcraft for example where entire raid teams (consisting of up to 50 or more players) would hire feeders (these are players who feed the NPCs or opposing players resulting in more difficult gameplay due to player ineptness) to play their characters while they were offline in order to keep up with the... Bots.
I would also like to bring up the fact that 99% if not 100% of all mirror tier items were created using these bugs and of course the all-mighty wallet.
This genre is so much better in a SSF environment, the real struggle I find is there is no quick fix to increase player power, which is where the market comes in, and thus the cycle repeats.
When I was leveling up this season we ran into this dilemma quite early, not only could each player collect crystals to build your temple, the Vaal circle you interact with to use crystals also gave each party member identical loot, funny seeing 6 divines drop in several consecutive zones in act 3, that was day 1. This was reported with the exact scenario mentioned here, I guess act 3 is the real endgame.
I wish streaming never became a thing, it really ruined the gaming industry.
TLDR; If you have the money why are you even playing any video games? You can simply hire someone to play for you, or buy your way to endgame, both end in a shitty user experience. All those amazing druid animations and gamedjinnies going to good work botting in Holden.
my 2 cents.
I love this game, but PLEASE PLEASE stop hiring people who clearly have never played a video game at any level above -showmethemoney.

The problem here that's even a developers that are currently working in GGG doesn't know how their game works. It's was shown during a big amount interviews while someone asking Chris or Mark about the game.
My favorite speech was from Alexandr_GGG (who posted patch note today) interview when regarding question about in-game economy and bug abuse (I guess it was after dupe in 0.1 or ritual in 0.2) said "I'm playing SSF, I don't know what are you talking, there is no abuses, play SSF as well". I know that Alexandr afaik is a render engine developer, but still.
And it's always fun to see how players blame others for using in-game mechanic and asking for banning them. How the hell I should know was Holten intended or not, am I dev? I guess if it passed the developer view - then it's legit and the game is in EA.

GGG has like more than 10 years of experience but still making those childish mistakes and still don't know what QA stands for and how it works. Due to the experience that only like 10% of major bugs migrating to release branches I'm just imaging what a bizarre and horrible their dev branches looks like.

I wonder if the idea of not allowing league mechanics to exist under map tier's has ever been floated, it may be a good start.
Also, why in the world didn't GGG just allow the temple to be fully accessed? I feel like the real solution here is quite simple, allow us to modify the temple ENDLESSLY, to access all available rooms and ALWAYS have a chance to fight Atziri. Perhaps only an uber version of her could exist, that way people would actually have to.. Oh no this might offend some, they may have to play the game and, I can't believe I am typing this.. Progress, the people would have to progress and actually play the game.
Can you imagine a world where you actually play a video game?
Or, we could look at this other game that has a similar mechanic, I believe it was called Path of Exile, in this game there is an oddly familiar feature, you interact with this wretched woman named "Alva" she.. Get this.. She lets you turn your temple into a map! Imagine that, you could put your maps that have failed routes into a bank or sell them! You guys should check that game out I hear they have had this feature for almost a decade.

I don't normally interact with the hyperbolic nature of online but really feel like adding my two cents. There is such potential here. The game is with all the warts such fun. Ggg loving what you've done. Keep on keeping on. It's going the right direction.

They wont ban streamers, they dont even care anymore.
If they do, it wouldnt take them so long to do a small patch that dont even fix the main issues of Vaal temple.
Agree, Kingkongor is still streaming like nothing has happened
In GGG POV, streamer > gamers
Let the streamers buy the supporter pacl and MTX and let us gamers stop spending in this game until they finish this half baked shit.
You have like 0 support packs. The "exploit" still existing, you should just ran T1 maps or play with 2 controllers.
Wow, you have so many support packs.
Should we kneel to you, my lord?
according to your speech, people who purchase support packs can exploit the game whatever they like?
So arrogant and ignorant, you lordship

To be fair. How much years does it take to make an Alva to give you an actual map after Incursion was added in the game? 6-7 years? I guess if something like TFT with bunch of scammers doesn't happen - it's still would not exist as well as Harvest lifeforce LMAO.
I just do not understand why GGG don't even trying to openly communicate with playerbase, the only post on forum with something like "Holten abuse not intended, we are working on fix, if you'll continue to abuse - you'll be banned" and that's it, carte blanche
If someone who has a game director position answers "I like bingo cards" for question "How are you prefer getting a feedback from a playerbase, where to leave it to someone from GGG actually read it?" - that's... like a big problem for me.

No, just stop be a a speaker for those you are not. You're not the gamer who purchase support packs, so how you could say something from that position.
If GGG do not have clear position regarding is it exploit or not - well, it's not an exploit. How am I as a player should know is it intended or not?
