Sprinting is one of the main things making PoE 2 clunky and unfun to play

sprinting is fucking awful.

They just need to fix it so it doesn't feel like you are steering a tank, and get rid of the asinine long stun when you stub your toe, at least let you dodge cancel out of it. Not even the Souls games cause you to fall on your ass like that just from being hit while sprinting.

Sprinting is extremely cool and makes the game faster and easier—learn how to use it properly and when to use it frame-accurately—get skilled.

if you closely follow the dev interviews , mostly from jonathan
you can see how GGG approaches problems 1. get notified by reddit or some streamer about what feel wrong in their game 1.1 only if jonathan experiences this problem GGG is gonna lift a finger 2. they try to implement a quick bandaid in 1-2 hours and never talk about a permanent solution 3. bandaid becomes permanent and is reviewed in 4-5 years. This is what happened in PoE1 and now happening in POE2. |

" No. They deliberately removed Quicksilver flask because its impossible to balance a game when every player moves 10000000000km a second on the screen. Sprint is a compromise where you can move fast during the down-time between battles. You're not supposed to be zooming in circles around monsters all the time. Movement stat in most games is one of the if not the most powerful stat and it should be limited. If you think fast movement speed is fine, then you can quit whining over dying over random one shots because those are the only things that will ever kill you. " The only way most people die is already from random one shots, many of because you got tapped during sprint by an offscreen attack while trying to move between battles as you say. You apologists frame it as a concession, a service to us but they didn't have to add a sprint if the maps weren't stupidly big for no reason to begin with, a problem they created for themself.
