Well typically you aren't hit for 2500 damage from all sides. At the level where some of the bosses can do 2500 physical damage, mobs are doing maybe 500 damage a hit at best.
In which case, 10 000 armor would already block 2/3 of the incoming damage.
But it's certainly true that the game is set up so that if you are doing content that is appropriate for your level with reward setups that are appropriate for your current gear, then there is a high chance to die if you get stuck in the middle of a heavy-hitting mob.

On a T15 map with 4 modifiers you feel confident, but on a map with 6 modifiers you get killed with just a look and it feels like armor is useless and the only defense is to simply kill the enemy before he kills you.

Yup, that's more or less the case atm with max juiced maps. But then, to be fair, the game never really gets harder than that anymore, and there's no absolute requirement to run 6 difficult modifiers.

Armor is just pure shit, with 90% physical reduction + 75% res as warbringer with encase in jade. Almost all bosses kills me with elemental damage through 1.2k guard + 2k hp, I also have 86% reduction for armor applies to elemental damage as well based on my character stats, I have 30k armor consistent.

Ya the armor + ES feels pretty terrible right now as Wolf. I've invested more into defenses then ever before as the OP said and you'll just randomly get one-tapped from some mobs. A huge problem with restoring that ES in a lot of scenarios too, even with significant investment into life regen, life leech, etc. for Zealot's Oath, or a ton of faster start of energy shield recharge and rate without. Nobody plays ARPGs to get one-tapped. And by god do those Abyss rares need to be nerfed I don't understand how they give them the wombo combo from hell with the lightning storms + stabbing. Over 75% physical damage reduction with fully capped lightning and chaos res and over 60% elemental damage reduction against hits wwhy do they tear through me like paper if they aren't immediately frozen??? Melee is at a clear disadvantage in a lot of scenarios, and Armor needs to be buffed to compensate for that, the tuning needs some work.
