I think quite opposite - they should nerf over-performing skills. The game is quite easy even with non-meta builds. With meta it's just trivial.


Its a much better choice to bring the bad stuff up to the level of the good, then make the game harder, than to nerf the good stuff to the level of the bad. I saw the devs explicitly make this point in an interview before poe 2 release that this is how they should approach balance. Why make people unhappy with nerfs when you can make them happy with buffs, make the game harder when there isn't such a huge gap between the good and the bad.


Fair point. Psychological factor is quite important. But I think that buffing weak skills and then making everything harder may have equaly bad or maybe worse effect on average player than nerfing strong skills directly.
YEees, game is too easy .

1. You get 1 portal each map now , and only if you didnt die in the Acts.
otherwise you have to swim to each map.

2.On top of lost XP now you lose a random gear item each time you die.

3.To even open a portal to map you have to solve math , if you get it wrong you lose the map item .

4.Maps should have a timer , you die and lose the map if it gets to zero .
5 minutes , no more .

5. Also each second in the map all monsters and bosses get 1% more dmg , each second .

6.No more getting lucky with gear , gear has durability and cant be fixed once it breaks you need a new item , gear lasts about 10 maps .

7.You cannot exit the map or pause the game anymore .

8.Getting hit more then once by any monsters heavy stuns you.

9.No chilling in hideout , rare enemies with 8 mods spawn and attack you at random times , they drop nothing .

10.if they do get you , you have to re-do one act to get your hideout back.

Game is way too easy....

also no more not playing the game , every hour you are offline you lose 1% of you xp bar , plan ahead.

on this track it falls right off a cliff before it even gets close to a 1.0 release

I don't think the game is junk. Actually far from it. But this direction is botherimg me as well. I hope it's just "EA thing" and difficulty will be adjusted correctly in near future to be more in line with original vision/plan/whatever.
