PSA: Check Your PayPal — Found an Unauthorized Xsolla Charge on My PoE Account
" Bro that's the thing, i already said in the OP i never did pay with Xsolla i never knew the company even existed. The last time i used PayPal on my account was in 2020 for some stash tabs, and this is when my information was saved on the poe website, no clue if Xsolla existed back then.
" Xsolla has been GGG's payment process for forever and a day - there are posts on this forum of people complaining about them since at least 2017. The choice of payment processor is not always obvious. For example, you likely do business with Stripe several times a day without realising it. But I can promise you that GGG never risked actually processing the transactions themselves - if they got compromised (again...) and themselves held any saved payment methods, regulators would promptly sue them into bankruptcy to make an example out of them. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

" Makes sense ofcourse. It's a good thing that GGG have good support that almost instantly refund your money when stuff like this happens, unlike other games/websites never did refund the money in similar situations with Xsolla.. But I wonder how can GGG even deal with a situation like this permanently without (for example) disabling PayPal altogether.
" Good support, I don't know about that, they don't seem to take this issue seriously at all, I got another reply from support again saying that it's probably me that is compromised, they don't seem to be all that interested to actually investigate further what has happened and instead shifts the blame to the customer, so this will keep happening for people, not professional at all. They should immediately get in contact with Xsolla and sort this out, that is what they should be doing right now. Last edited by Rawnei#1506 on Dec 13, 2025, 4:32:06 AM

" They did tell me that at first, but after i told them that it was an unauthorized purchase without any user interaction (which was provided by my account data), they said that it was passed onto the appropriate team, so at least we have that. Whether they're investigating the issue or not though.. guess we'll see.

I just got hit with this as well, so the problem is still out there. I removed Xsolla from my Paypal automatic payments, is there a way to disconnect Paypal from my POE account? I buy everything through Steam normally anyways.
