" I shall remind you the iiq tablet mod will be removed in 0.4, and the richest guys will still lose 22% movement speed from boots (usually 1/7-1/8 ms), lose homogenising to spend 15-100 times of currency on your gear. So if seriously you want to enjoy the terrible game, it might waste 4-5 more times of your time than last terrible "league" 0.2. |

TLTR: Charges are still inconvenient and not dependable when it matters (boss fights). So, hopefully, limiting a player to 3 Empowered Zombies out of 10 is worth the inconvenience.
"Raise Zombie: Creating a Zombie from a Power Charge now also creates 2 additional non-empowered Zombies. Empowered Zombie now deals 122-253% more damage with Hits at Gem levels 5-20 (previously 100)." Is the idea that a user, with a limit of 10 zombies, can only have 3 Empowered Zombies raised at a time? This seems to: - Dilute the needed power boost of Empowered Zombies - Dilute the reward for investing in charges. I've been using Empowered Zombies since the beta came out, and I was excited for the new changes to Empowered Zombie damage (as it was needed). This new change confuses me a bit, as Zombie/Powercharge sustain was never an issue while clearing (and it's non-existent in boss fights), so why the focus on meeting the zombie cap instead of damage? Zombie players still have to use to a completely different skill in boss fights without extra enemies (which they have to plan around), and players were easily at their zombie cap while clearing. Considering Empowered Zombies don't get a health boost compared to regular Zombies (and how much a build sacrifices to commit to charges), this change conflicts with gems like "Minion Instability", which are very typical gems to use on temporary minions such as Zombies. Why bother with Empowered Zombies at all? If zombies don't exist in a boss fight, because of a lack of corpses, and corpses are found in plenty while clearing, why care about the raised quantity? Is it simply the mana cost savings? I guess I'm just failing to see how this improves the zombie experience at all. Now that I can only have 3 Empowered Zombies at once, why would I bother investing so much of my build around charges when only 33% of my skill will benefit from it? I guess the hope is that 3 Empowered Zombies are worth the bother of Charges? Hopefully that's the case. But, balance-wise, those three Empowered Zombies will need to be more impactful than 10 regular zombies blowing up (Minion Instability). Otherwise, it's not worth the inconvenience of Power Charges at all. Those are just my initial thoughts on this newest change (11-12-2025). Seems ggg never understand the diversity of builds players can enjoy (dut to the unlock of some hard cap, or great modification related mechanic; and of course a far more balanced skill system) will significantly extend the league's lifespan.
The loot also matters (compare afflication and keepers), but it's far easier to get a equilibrium point than things above. Overnerf will just prevent us to download or update the game, rather than prolong the time we will spend in it. It's horrible that you don't even learn the driving force to keep playing the game over the tens of leagues. I bet POE and the terrible 2 are two of the least balanced multiplayer games in the world. I just hope they fixed the Intel XESS Rendering they broke with one of the patches early in 0.3.
I want to say it was after the second or 3rd update after 0.3 launch where Rendering with Xess gave me a completely black screen. Drivers have been updated on the video card at least 5 times since then, and still, black screen. I'm having to use other, visual inferior DX12 renderers to play. |

Anti Burst boss mechanic is a bone-headed dumb idea. If I build a character to delete bosses, let me. Stupid.
Requiring an arbiter kill to craft tablets beyond 2 affixes, again bone-headed dumb idea. POE is all about freedom. Why are you arbitrarily restricting me. Druid looks fun as hell. League looks OK. Nice buffs to infusions, they were fun last league. Map completion requirement is still bad. In POE1, when I feel Im done with the map, Im done. In POE2, GGG is telling me when Im done. ??? More examples of you making decisions for me and taking away the freedom. Still no changes to trials either A) being the gate between your character and its build B) difficulty of 3rd and 4th trial c) Honour system being trash. Trash. Trash. Its health that you cannot regain unless you get lucky with affixes and wells. Trash. Trash. Probably get 3-4 days out of this league and onto either D4 or Arc Raiders expedition. |
