Expedition League

After the Breach_v0.2 PoE1 league I was thinking what would happen if GGG decided to do the same in PoE2 but this time with Expedition.

There's no need for new areas, just new bosses to encounter in the logbook areas and some new items with an old-school twist. Set items.

I think the focus should be on generating items that encourage group play in the endgame. To do that, you need mechanics that require more than a single activator. Instead of the "afk trade, get cheap, come to my HO" scam we see all the time, I think it might be better to join a group looking for a spesific role and have them contact you through global chat or party names.

For the SSF portion, I think the game needs more boss-specific loot. Or maybe a new system that ensures every boss loot item has modifiers related to the boss's mechanics? For example, a "Crowbell" might drop items with "physical" and "rage" modifiers, while a Rattlecage might drop items with "fire" and "area of effect" modifiers. This could solve a lot of issues with late-game crafting and trading.

I'm not sure about that. Would be convenient for sure but i like grinding a lot. So might remove that part. Depend how common the drop rate would be i guess.

Just we are not allow to join group is what i mean about your proposition.

Forcing group play in games is usualy not working well in what i've seen anyway. Even in MMOs when they try success isnt always there and lots of frustration come from people who just rather play solo. Not saying that about SSF this time, just in general.
Finding group is usualy the problem at the end. Can be very painfull.

But an expedition league sound cool, i like it but there is something missing. It get stale a bit too fast or it's too repetitiv idk. I tought it was cooler before when you could have a chance at the boss spawning rather than now just collect fragmants.

Force Group play? Roles?

I do not need/want to deal with any of you guys.
Keeping myself in DND , and for a very good reason too.

I have no problem with you going together and farming.
Or roleplaying. I do not care what you do.

I also do not mind GGG giving you a nice bonus in drops.

But asking that content and drop should be exclusive to you?
That is waaaaaaaaaaay too much.

You are in the wrong game, on the wrong forum.

This games is primary played by solo players. And this request if implemented will piss everyone. Me included.

Retract your suggestion and enjoy your drop bonus, because the solo players are already negative towards group play and want it removed.

From SSF or solo player perspective I agree but I'm not a solo player. I had best endgame runs with random parties. Also 2 of every 10 random players who joined to my map run parties were supports which surprised me a lot. One of them was even a banner support who was a very clever guy and I instantly offered him a handful of divines to improve his build and we had a long good build mechanics chat. I enjoyed that A LOT.

I mean, I hope you don't take this as a negative comment but I really don't understand the point of sitting in front of a screen as an organic creature and wasting your only life-time to stress yourself about virtual problems all alone. That's why I personally always prefer trade leagues, I don't care if some random guy rolls 6 t1 rolls on an item in SSF if it is only feeding his/her game instead of the community. It's so selfish to me, which is not a bad thing, just a characteristic feature of some humans.

Do you have the numbers? I'm very curious about how many players are playing solo and how many of them as groups. I don't have any data about that, do you? Also I'm not asking for bonus drops, it seems like you misunderstood it completely in terms of loot.

The choice of playing SSF is because i burn trough games too fast if i can just buy my items or get other peoples gearing me.

It happen that in poe2 SSF can't group with others. I play same type of game mode in other games (no access to trade) where we can group and do raids/boss with anyone else. I participate in thoose with my friends and people from my clan.

I dont think it's selfish to not feel the need to always be interacting with others humans all the time and i always tought that was weird people who can't live by themselves and need recognition of them existence via others constantly =)
