Was stuck in the Well of Souls - now escaped!

Took a waypoint to the Well of souls with a level 33 Mercenary witch hunter.

Wanted to check out the modifiers on some newly desecrated gear I was hoping to use to finish off Jamanra.

If I clicked on anything - portal, the Well, the lurking creature, stash , exit to the Lightless passage etc. - nothing happened.

(I could fire grenades though, which is helpful.)

I could access my inventory, and if I dropped items I couldn't pick them up again.

I tried quitting back to character selection, quitting back to login, exiting the game, respawning at checkpoint, playing as another character then going back to the stuck one.

No matter what I did I just loaded back into the Well, unable to escape.

I was about to submit this report with the info above, when I was looking about to see if there was something I'd missed. I noticed that my left mouse button which is normally crossbow shot for weapon 1, was showing as Load High Velocity Rounds, which is bound to F.

As soon as I rebound the command for the left button to fire the crossbow, everything started working again. I actually managed to reproduce it by binding Load Galvanic Shards to the left mouse button. I could also reproduce this same effect in other areas, except for town, by using the same bindings with that Merc character.

I'm not on here much and never check the bug discussions here or on reddit. I assume it's known that putting a load bolt command on the left mouse button for mercenaries does this?

Was everyone who reported being stuck in the well of souls playing a mercenary or using a crossbow?

(And all I lost was some desecrated armour that I dropped on the ground before respawning at the checkpoint, thereby losing it. I'm going to have to grind for a while to replace it, but I'm still happy to be out of there!)
