Imho, there should be a cat form for druid

If it's not already in, though I suspect it is, maybe it could be something to work on in the future.

Reasons why we should have a cat form:

-Cats are cool

-It would be a nice variation from most shape-shifting characters in games

-Gives a different vibe from bear or wolf; it could be a much more speedy set of skills

-We already have some animations from the act 3 vaal

-Meow

-Rue can finally play a character that matches their identity

Rat form would be nice too. Gnawing through enemy stomachs.
I bet my balls that they will put a panda skin and make more money with it than they did in the last 10 years.

You can write this down, and quote me.

Concept art from years ago, so who knows.

SSF Rise of the Abyssal Ice Strike Invoker, high survivability and fast clear speed. Deprioritize armor and resistances; prioritize crafting a weapon and faster start of ES recharge. Build is shown at level 47, end of Act 3. It tore through Act 3 like butter.

PS: I'm pretty sure that was the silhouette of the Huntress in the teaser video. But she(?) turned into a wolf.

Ranger should get cat based ascedancy. It was showcased in 2019 - so very long time ago.. but i don't think so they canceled the entire ascedancy. There was cat transform and cat summons - lion, panther and tiger i think.

Fair. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to there being shapeshifting skills that aren't all str-int based, and I can see it making a bit more sense for weretiger skills to be dex based. Maybe it should be dex/int based though, since there's magic involved? But of course, that doesn't mean ranger couldn't use it or have a related ascendancy, given that warrior has Smith of Kitava, which has a bit of int connection through the cast fire spell on hit.

I'm actually looking forward to how they butcher Druid as a class.

Most games butcher Druids these days. Probably thanks to WoTC. They're not automatically shape shifters. They're more or less a hybrid of Mage/Rogue/Cleric. Similar to a bard without being annoying, their strength lies in their ability to do many things.

They can be sneaky, nuke, CC, heal, buff, shapeshift, control animals, summon, banish, nearly everything. The downside is they're not the best at anything. Druid has always been a favorite class of mine but not in ARPGs or even recent D&D.

ARPGs lack majority of that so it's dumbed down to shapeshifting and nukes. Dark and Darker prolly has the better Druid I've seen in a while. They lack spell damage but everything else is solid. Bear to attack, rat to jump through the cracks in a door, heals, summons, CC. Lots of versatility.
